DEPT® is seeking a lead designer to mentor a Croatian design team and shape experiences for international clients from Zagreb or Split. You’ll drive design excellence, bridge UX, copy and development teams, and push innovative design systems while upholding accessibility and craft.

Your role combines leadership with hands-on design, leveraging Figma, AI tools, and modern prototyping to elevate outcomes and collaborate across Europe.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in a similar design leadership role with a strong portfolio.
• Leadership skills with ability to mentor and develop others.
• Expertise in building scalable Design Systems.
• Accessibility mindset aligned with WCAG principles.
• Strong collaboration with UX, copy and development teams.
• Proficiency in Figma; motion design and prototyping tools a plus.
• Interest in AI-powered design workflows to boost productivity.
• Excellent English communication to engage executives and engineers.
• Brand design experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Drive creativity and deliver excellence as lead designer for key accounts; ensure quality, timeline and budget.
