Job summary

Rightmove is seeking an experienced Lead Product Designer to join the Experience Design team in London. You will lead, coach, and line-manage a team of three Product Designers, own the design vision for the Move & Home pillars, and collaborate with product, engineering, and brand leadership.

This role is not a pure delivery role; you’ll be hands-on where it adds value, guide execution, and influence strategy across levels.

Qualifications

• Experience leading Product Designers and developing design teams.
• Strong design craft and judgement.
• Ability to maintain a high quality bar across others' work.
• Expertise in design systems and scalable patterns.
• Experience with multi-sided platforms or marketplaces.
• Strategic thinking balancing business goals with user needs.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and storytelling skills.
• Curiosity and proactive collaboration including responsible use of AI in design.

• Lead, coach, and develop your team, setting clear goals and providing feedback.
• Maintain a high quality bar across your team's output and apply sound judgement.
• Set the standard for design system contribution and adoption.

• Influence decisions across levels and disciplines with clear communication.
• Champion inclusive and accessible design and represent XD externally.
