Job summary

Rightmove is seeking an experienced Lead Product Designer to lead and grow a small design team within its Experience Design group. You will own the design vision for Move & Home, collaborating closely with product, engineering, and design leadership.

This role blends hands-on design with strategic leadership in a hybrid London setting. You will influence domain direction, contribute to design system standards, and champion accessible, inclusive design across XD and externally.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing and developing Product Designers.
• Strong design craft, taste and judgement.
• Expertise in design systems, interaction patterns and scalable frameworks.
• Fluency in design challenges of complex, multi-sided platforms or marketplaces.
• Strategic thinking balancing business goals with user needs.
• Collaborative, with strong storytelling and communication skills.
• Curiosity and creativity in exploring new technologies including AI in design.
• Growth mindset and proactive cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and line-manage a team of three Product Designers.
• Own the design vision for Move & Home pillars aligned with product strategy.
• Be hands-on where it adds value and guide execution.
• Collaborate with Lead Product Designers, Senior PM, and Engineering leadership.
• Report to the Lead Product Design Manager for Consumer as part of XD leadership.
• Participate in hybrid work: 2 days in Soho, London and 3 days remote.
