Job summary

Lhasa Limited in Leeds is seeking a Lead Platform Engineer to provide strategic technical leadership for cloud-native platform initiatives and to drive reliable SaaS product delivery. You will lead a team of platform engineers, establish architectural standards, and mentor talent while collaborating with stakeholders to align platform capabilities with business goals.

You will own production reliability, implement industry metrics, and ensure security compliance in high-value data environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing cloud infrastructure with proven SaaS platform ownership.
• Strong Kubernetes orchestration including multi-cluster management.
• GitOps experience with ArgoCD and Helm for continuous deployment.
• Proficiency in IaC tools (CDK, Terraform, Ansible) and observability platforms.
• Knowledge of security standards and compliance in high-value data environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the cloud-native platform engineering initiatives.
• Mentor platform engineers and align platform capabilities with business objectives.
• Own production reliability and implement DORA/Core 4 metrics.
• Design and improve GitOps workflows and self-service capabilities.
• Drive observability stack and cost-optimisation strategies.
• Collaborate with Product and Security teams on standards and risk.
