Job summary

Inspire People, in partnership with the DVLA, is seeking a Lead Cloud Engineer based in Swansea for a permanent hybrid role. You will lead cloud engineering teams, hands-on with AWS, and own infrastructure across the full lifecycle, delivering secure, scalable platforms for UK-wide public services.

Join a mission-driven digital team delivering critical services at scale, with strong DevOps practices, Terraform/CloudFormation, Kubernetes and GitOps tooling.

Qualifications

Proven experience leading cloud engineering teams in enterprise environments.
Hands-on AWS expertise with design, build and operate cloud platforms.
Strong skills in Infrastructure‑as‑Code and DevOps tooling (Terraform/ CloudFormation, ArgoCD).
Experience delivering secure, resilient cloud platforms at scale.

Responsibilities

Technically lead Agile Cloud Engineering teams following DevOps principles.
Design, build and operate secure, scalable cloud platforms across AWS and Azure environments.
Own cloud services throughout their full lifecycle from design to continuous improvement.
Mentor Cloud Engineers and drive engineering excellence.
