Job summary

Guy Carpenter is seeking a Placement Broker Support for our London office. This hybrid role requires in-office presence at least three days per week and supports the Latin American market with brokers, clients, reinsurers and internal stakeholders.

The successful candidate will handle renewals, submissions, and compliance, liaise with reinsurers, and manage placement status while contributing to regulatory adherence and high‑quality service.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English and intermediate‑level Spanish (or above) is essential.
• Experience in commercial insurance, reinsurance, broking or related environment is preferred.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and enquiries simultaneously.
• Understanding of clients’ businesses, insurance programmes, and service requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Confidence liaising with stakeholders and supporting negotiation processes.
• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships.

Responsibilities

• Assist with client renewal reviews, contract drafting, and final contract documentation.
• Manage full-cycle use of the GC Marketplace e-trading platform from market submission to reinsurer participations.
• Support brokers by preparing submissions, tracking placement status, and liaising with reinsurers on placements and queries.
• Maintain core placement files to ensure compliance with best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Handle client onboarding, respond to information requests, and oversee compliance policies including sanctions, AML, ABC.
• Collaborate with Broking, Support and Service Teams across offices, participate in meetings, and monitor business metrics.
