Hastings Direct is hiring a Junior Test Automation Engineer to join a collaborative Technology Engineering team. You will design and maintain test scenarios, work with colleagues across disciplines, and actively participate in sprint ceremonies to deliver reliable software outcomes.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with at least one coding language including Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, or Python.
• Understanding of source control and GitHub collaboration.
• Basic SQL skills for data querying and manipulation.
• Interest in Generative AI and using AI tools responsibly to support learning, development, and testing.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to designing, implementing and maintaining effective test scenarios for high-quality outcomes.
• Collaborate with teammates across disciplines within the Scrum team.
• Participate actively in sprint ceremonies: daily stand-ups, planning, and retrospectives.
• Ensure work meets the definition of ready and done before progressing or completing tasks.
