Job summary

Omega Resource Group is seeking a Junior Sales Engineer in Cirencester to apply engineering principles to customer applications and support projects from concept to delivery.

The role is engineering‑first, focusing on technical solutions, system understanding, and providing technical credibility with customers. Hybrid working with office and remote days is available, and the salary ranges from £32,000 to £40,000 with an OTE £40,000–£50,000.

Qualifications

• : Apprenticeship, HNC/HND, or degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• : Experience or strong interest in process automation, control systems, industrial equipment, or engineered solutions.
• : Comfortable interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
• : Previous experience in a technical sales, applications engineering, or customer-facing engineering role is desirable.

Responsibilities

• : Take ownership of the technical sales process within your assigned region and ensure solutions are engineered and compliant.
• : Act as the primary internal technical contact for customers with advice on product selection and configuration.
• : Prepare detailed, technically accurate quotations and process orders aligning with engineering standards.
• : Collaborate with design, systems, and applications engineers to develop bespoke solutions.
• : Analyse customer requirements and specifications to resolve technical queries.
