Job summary

Dover Fueling Solutions (DFS) in Dundee is seeking a Junior Planner Buyer to support the indirect purchasing function. This hybrid role focuses on stabilising processes, coordinating with suppliers, and maintaining system accuracy while working closely with the materials team.

The successful candidate will develop foundational skills in procurement, logistics coordination, and invoice resolution, with opportunities to learn DFS systems and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Entry-level role focused on implementing and stabilising an indirect purchasing process.
• Build foundational capability in supply coordination, system accuracy and purchase process compliance.

Responsibilities

• Raise and issue indirect purchase orders in line with policy and approval limits.
• Obtain order confirmations and update purchase orders accordingly.
• Monitor open purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery and communicate delays to requisitioner.
• Coordinate collections with suppliers and logistics partners.
• Ensure goods receipt is recorded accurately and promptly.
• Investigate and resolve invoice queries.
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships; act as first point of contact for supplier queries.
• Collaborate with internal departments.
• Use ERP system to execute standard work timely.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement tasks and Lean activities.
• Support the materials department in general administrative activities.
