Job summary

Join Netcompany in Leeds to support DevOps, development, and on-call activities across UK platforms. You’ll work within the APS (Application Support) team, contributing to development, DevOps and support while rotating on-call duties.

A hybrid working model, travel readiness, and UK work rights are essential. We seek 2+ years in a similar role with strong AWS, CI/CD, Terraform and Kubernetes expertise, plus Java experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of AWS and CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance.
• Practical experience using Terraform and Kubernetes.
• Experience in Java.
• Experienced with multiple ecosystem databases, architecture and integration.
• Experience with monitoring tools to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Kubernetes & Helm: Strong understanding of container orchestration with Kubernetes and package management using Helm.
• Experience with AWS Cloud.
• CI/CD: Proficiency in setting up and maintaining pipelines, particularly with Jenkins.
• Database Management: Experience with schema change management (e.g., Liquibase).
• GitOps: Understanding of GitOps principles.
• Core Principles: A mindset focused on automation, proactive monitoring, continuous improvement, and defining best practices.

Responsibilities

• Experience of DevOps tooling, containers and containerisation.
• Communication: Able to speak to stakeholders and be able to transfer business requirements into technical implementation.
• Facilitate information/business knowledge: Able to act as a business SME and understand what the business needs and how to support this into an efficient DevOps team.
• Stakeholder Management: Able to negotiate and influence with stakeholders to ensure the service runs effectively and efforts are placed correctly.
