Job summary
Experis - ManpowerGroup in Gloucester is seeking an IT Support Engineer (1st Line) to provide high-quality remote support to a broad client base, taking ownership of incidents from logging through to resolution. You will help move the service desk towards a proactive model by spotting trends and contributing to continual service improvement.
This role offers progression into 2nd/3rd line support, exposure to Cyber Security and AI/Automation, and a two-days-per-week in-office hybrid schedule in
Qualifications
- Experience supporting Windows and macOS desktop environments.
- Microsoft 365 administration and troubleshooting experience, including Exchange Online.
- Basic networking concepts (LAN/WAN/Wireless/Firewall).
- Experience using ticketing systems or PSA tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A logical, structured approach to troubleshooting.
- Previous 1st Line Technical support experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional 1st line remote support across a broad client base.
- Take ownership of tickets from logging to resolution and keep users informed.
- Triaging, categorising and prioritising tickets by impact and SLA.
- Investigate and resolve desktop, Microsoft 365, connectivity, access and device issues.
- Apply structured troubleshooting and escalate when needed.
- Contribute to knowledge base articles to improve first-time fix rates.
- Build strong working relationships with client contacts and internal teams.
