Job summary

Advance HE is seeking an IT Integration Engineer to design and deliver integrations across core systems, APIs and automated workflows. You will work with Dataverse, Dynamics 365 CRM, Power Automate, Azure and SaaS platforms to create secure, scalable data flows.

The role is hybrid with London or York, offering 31 days leave, a generous USS pension, enhanced family leave, flexible hours, and around four days in the office per month.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, web services and data exchange patterns.
• Experience integrating SaaS platforms and complex business systems.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and cloud-based integration services.
• Experience with identity and access management technologies including Entra ID, SSO, SAML and OAuth.
• A good understanding of integration security, authentication and data protection.
• Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills.
• The ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• A relevant technical degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain API integrations between core business platforms and third-party systems.
• Develop reliable REST-based and event-driven integrations, ensuring secure data flows.
• Support SSO and identity integrations using Microsoft Entra ID.
• Lead technical integrations across a diverse ecosystem of SaaS platforms.
• Create automated workflows that reduce manual processes and improve efficiency.
• Use Power Automate, Azure and other integration technologies to strengthen system connectivity.
• Integrate finance and business systems to support accurate reporting, forecasting and decision-making.
• Establish integration standards, documentation and best practice to ensure solutions remain secure, compliant and scalable.
• Identify opportunities to improve automation, platform performance and reliability.
