Sanctuary Group in Worcester seeks an experienced Information Security Officer to join the Technology Security team within the Technology Department. The role protects data and systems, fosters a security culture, and ensures compliance, with a Worcester base and a hybrid work pattern.

Salary ranges between £46,575 and £49,012 per year for a 35-hour week. You will develop policies, advise staff and partners on governance, resolve security issues, and liaise with the Service Desk to maintain high

Qualifications

• Experience in information security within a large, complex organisation.
• Ability to meet deadlines and prioritise workloads.
• Experience resolving technical security issues.
• Experience using information security tools.
• Knowledge of ISO27001 and NIST frameworks.
• Experience of data protection, UK legislation and GDPR.
• Ability to extract and interpret data from computer systems.
• Knowledge of the Data Protection Act and its application.
• Excellent communication and customer care skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain information security policies and processes to protect data, systems and applications.
• Provide governance and compliance guidance to staff and partners as needed.
• Assist in resolving customers’ security issues and queries.
• Liaise with the Technology Service Desk to ensure high-quality service.
• Appraise new and existing processes for future security needs.
• Identify risks and vulnerabilities and raise awareness of security issues.
• Promote digital health and wellbeing.
