Job summary

Ability Consultants is seeking a proactive fundraising and business development professional to work with charities, CICs, schools, social enterprises and other organisations across the UK. You will identify opportunities, develop partnerships and deliver projects that drive growth and impact.

Hybrid, permanent contract with 28 days leave and flexi-time. You will join a collaborative team delivering high-value outcomes and strong client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in project delivery, income generation or business development.
• Strong ability to identify opportunities and convert ideas into actionable plans.
• Excellent written communication for proposals and funding applications.
• Good interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients, partners and leaders.
• Ability to manage priorities and coordinate resources to meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and digital project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Work with senior leaders to identify and develop new business opportunities.
• Research funding opportunities, market trends and potential clients.
• Develop projects and proposals with budgets, timelines and delivery plans.
• Lead projects from planning through delivery, tracking milestones and outcomes.
• Prepare and present funding applications, tenders and expressions of interest.
• Build and strengthen relationships with clients, partners and funders.
• Monitor progress, income generation activities and reporting on outcomes.
• Represent the company at meetings and networks to promote services.
