Job summary

Halfords is seeking an Identity Platform Lead to own Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory, ensuring security, reliability, and cloud-first delivery across the business. You will drive day-to-day operation and long-term improvements, acting as the go-to expert for identity at scale.

You will work with Engineering to set platform direction, oversee delivery with third-party partners, and champion governance across PAM, IGA, and enterprise authentication.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory in a large enterprise environment.
• Experience with Privileged Access Management solutions (CyberArk or similar).
• Proven track record owning and managing enterprise identity platforms end-to-end.
• Experience leading outsourced engineering teams or MSPs and driving performance without direct line management.
• Strong technical leadership and ability to act as the platform SME.

Responsibilities

• Own the design, configuration, implementation, and operation of Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory.
• Drive deployment and adoption of PAM, IGA, Conditional Access, and enterprise authentication solutions.
• Lead continuous improvement of the identity platform and expand integrations across applications.
• Manage third-party service providers for platform performance, security, and delivery outcomes.
• Oversee enterprise app integrations and SSO capabilities.
• Maintain identity governance controls and audit-ready evidence.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, and Digital Identity teams to ensure reliability and security.
