Job summary

Red Door Recruitment is recruiting an HR Business Partner for a public sector client in Borehamwood. You will advise managers on people management, employment law and organisational change, rotating support across departments to deliver practical, people-centred solutions aligned with Council policy.

You will lead employee relations, workforce planning, wellbeing and learning and development initiatives, and support the Council’s People Strategy with strong stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

• Local government/public sector experience.
• CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent).
• 360 Employee Relations casework experience.
• Policy writing and review.
• Change management and TUPE experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert HR advice to managers on employee relations, employment law and HR best practice.
• Manage a wide range of employee relations cases including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management and performance issues.
• Support organisational change projects including restructures, redundancies and TUPE transfers.
• Develop, review and implement HR policies and procedures.
• Lead and support recruitment, onboarding and workforce planning initiatives.
• Design and deliver learning and development programmes and staff training.
• Produce workforce reports and HR analytics to support strategic decision-making.
• Promote employee wellbeing, engagement and diversity initiatives.
• Manage HR projects and contribute to the People Strategy delivery.
