The role covers employee relations, policy development, recruitment support, and HR administration, with opportunities to influence people practices while ensuring compliance with employment law and best practice.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar HR Advisor or HR Generalist role.
• Proven experience managing a broad range of employee relations cases.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to coach and influence managers at all levels.
• High levels of discretion with confidential information.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage a wide range of employee relations casework, including absence management, disciplinary, grievance, probation, and flexible working cases.
• Coach, support, and advise managers on people management issues.
• Review and update HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with employment legislation and HR best practice.
• Support employee engagement, wellbeing, and recognition initiatives, including the annual employee survey.
• Provide guidance throughout recruitment and selection processes.
• Produce clear and effective HR communications for employees and managers.
• Maintain accurate HR records and employee data, ensuring GDPR compliance.
• Produce HR reports and analyse people data to identify trends and support business decisions.
• Ensure all employee changes are processed accurately and communicated to payroll.
• Keep up to date with employment legislation and emerging HR best practice, driving continuous improvement across the HR function.
