Job summary

Park Avenue Recruitment are recruiting an experienced Housing Options Officer to work with a Local Authority in Hampshire on an interim basis.

The role handles a caseload of complex homelessness cases, conducts homelessness assessments under Housing Act 1996 Part VII and Homelessness Reduction Act 2017, and develops Personalised Housing Plans. It requires 1 day per week on-site in Hampshire and offers £35 per hour on an initial 3-month contract.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Local Authority Housing Options/Homelessness service is required.
• Ability to handle complex cases independently; Hampshire experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Managing a caseload of complex Housing Options and homelessness cases.
• Completing homelessness assessments under Housing Act 1996 Part VII and Homelessness Reduction Act 2017.
• Producing and progressing Personalised Housing Plans.
• Making homelessness decisions and progressing cases to resolution.
• Providing duty cover twice per week.
• Liaising with applicants, landlords, support agencies and internal teams to prevent and relieve homelessness.
