Job summary

Colbern Limited in London is seeking an experienced Housing Advisor to prevent homelessness and support housing options for clients. The role is based in Camberwell with a 3 days in-office / 2 days remote pattern, and Monday mandatory with a rotating schedule.

Salary is £23.51 per hour PAYE or £30.67 per hour via umbrella inside IR35. You'll conduct housing needs assessments, develop tailored housing plans, manage a busy caseload, and work to explore private renting and other housing options in

Qualifications

• Experience as a Housing Advisor including working with homelessness prevention and housing options.
• Knowledge of relevant housing legislation and guidance (Homelessness Reduction Act).

Responsibilities

• Provide front of house housing advice and direct clients to appropriate service paths.
• Deliver a mediation service for households facing housing issues and conduct home visits when required.
• Offer a customer-facing service via drop-in, appointments, and telephone advice line.
• Assess temporary accommodation needs and manage placement and sign-up processes.
• Maintain detailed case records and monitor performance targets.
• Assist clients in exploring private rented or other housing options to prevent homelessness.
