Job summary

Carrington West is recruiting in Hull for an experienced Highways Capital Project Manager to lead delivery of major highway schemes within a Local Authority programme. The role involves managing projects from design through procurement to construction, coordinating designers, contract managers, permit teams and contractors.

You will monitor programme, budget and risk, prepare regular progress reports, engage with council and external stakeholders, and ensure safety and standards are met across

Qualifications

• Experience delivering major highway or civil engineering schemes.
• Experience managing programmes with budgets in the £2 million to £10 million range.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Experience across design, procurement and construction phases.

Responsibilities

• Managing multiple highway infrastructure schemes from design and procurement through to delivery and completion.
• Coordinating designers, contract managers, permit teams, contractors and other project stakeholders.
• Monitoring programme, budget, risk, quality and overall project performance.
• Providing regular progress reports and updates to the Highway Capital Programme Manager.
• Undertaking key project-management tasks and coordinating the different elements of each scheme.
• Engaging with internal council teams, external organisations, elected members and local councillors.
• Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required standards.
