Job summary

Auriga Services Limited is seeking a Service Delivery & Grants Advisor to assess and process grant applications, social tariffs, and emergency fuel. You will support the Service Delivery team, ensure accurate data, and communicate decisions with beneficiaries and partners.

The role is hybrid with an office base in Birmingham City Centre, 37.5 hours weekly, and a 6-month fixed-term contract. Experience in customer service and data management is essential, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills with empathy for vulnerable people.
• Ability to manage difficult conversations; training provided.
• Basic money advice knowledge (budgeting) and prioritization.
• Motivated to provide effective service to those in need.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and time management.
• Experience with data input, IT systems and databases.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
• Able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assess applications and requests across Auriga’s contracts (emergency fuel, water and energy, local authorities).
• Assess applications with guidelines and budgets; decide awards and authorize payments.
• Record auditable data and clearly communicate decisions to beneficiaries and teams.
• Receive/manage inbound inquiries by phone, email, post; provide accurate information.
• Complete applications over the phone when required and update central database.
• Engage in stakeholder visits and provide process overviews when needed.
• Ensure fair, consistent decision-making and excellent customer service.
• Support Service Delivery Managers and Head of Service Delivery; contribute to improvements.
