Job summary

BMT is offering a Graduate Data & AI Consultant role within its Applied Technology capability. This two-year graduate programme builds foundations in applied data science and consultancy, with mentorship, project experience and tailored technical development.

You will work alongside data scientists, AI researchers, data engineers and domain specialists, across Defence and regulated environments. Hybrid work with UK offices is available.

Qualifications

• Degree in data science, computer science, or related field.
• Practical experience with Python for data projects.
• Foundation in statistics, ML and AI principles.
• Ability to communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Explore, prepare and analyse data to understand customer problems.
• Develop and test analytical or AI approaches.
• Evaluate performance and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Contribute to prototypes, tools and data products.
• Apply coding best practices including version control and testing.
• Collaborate with Data Science, AI, software and governance teams.
• Work with domain specialists such as Cyber, Safety, Naval Engineering.
• Support end-to-end development from research to delivery.
