Job summary

Jacobs invites applications for itsGraduate Carbon Consultant within the Jacobs Graduate Development Program. This two-year scheme accelerates growth through blended learning, mentoring, and real project work across carbon accounting, decarbonisation, and sustainability reporting.

The role develops skills in data-enabled carbon assessment and client engagement with industry leaders to deliver sustainable, resilient solutions. Start date is September 2027.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a relevant degree or Master’s in environmental science, sustainability, engineering or climate change.
• Permanent right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Support greenhouse gas inventories across Scopes 1–3, including data analysis and baseline assessments.
• Perform Whole Life Carbon Assessments (WLCA) using tools like eTool and OneClick LCA.
• Contribute to carbon management plans and decarbonisation strategies.
• Collaborate with design teams to embed low-carbon principles in project solutions.
• Engage with clients through workshops and presentations to translate analysis into insights.
• Support assurance activities and data checks related to carbon accounting.
