Job summary

Aztec Group is looking for a Trainee Fund Accountant in Southampton. You will assist with day-to-day bookkeeping of funds and related structures under supervision, helping prepare investor reports and audit responses.

The role supports study toward a professional qualification and involves working with eFront and Excel under the Financial Reporting Manager’s guidance. The position offers a hybrid work pattern with a competitive salary, private medical insurance, pension, and other employee

Qualifications

• Interest in studying towards a relevant professional qualification (supported by Aztec Group).
• Sound technical financial services knowledge and ability to apply it practically.
• Good computer literacy and interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine bookkeeping of funds, management companies and fund structures.
• Prepare, reconcile and proof investor reports and statutory financial statements.
• Assist with audit queries and tax return preparation.
• Maintain records on eFront and Excel working papers for bookkeeping.
