Job summary

Templeton & Partners is seeking an early-career Full Stack Engineer in London to join the Automation & Analytics team. This hybrid role focuses on Python and SQL, across backend, data pipelines, APIs, cloud, and AI-enabled applications.

You’ll work across AWS and Azure, with production systems and CI/CD practices, contributing to client projects and gaining broad experience as a well-rounded engineer.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years' commercial experience in software engineering, full‑stack development or data engineering.
• Strong Python skills.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Experience with AWS and Azure cloud services, including deployment and operational support.
• Hands‑on experience with data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data orchestration tools.
• Experience working with production systems.
• Experience developing backend services and/or REST APIs.
• Experience with databases and data‑intensive applications.
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD.
• Commercial exposure to AWS and/or Azure, with AWS experience particularly valuable.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving ability.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Assist in migrating data services to cloud platforms and maintain backend services.
• Develop and maintain backend APIs and data processing components.
• Contribute to data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows and data integrations.
• Collaborate with engineers on production systems and CI/CD practices.
• Work with databases and data-intensive applications in cloud environments.
• Support and improve data platforms and analytics readiness.
