Job summary

The Education organisation is seeking a Management Accountant on a fixed-term contract based in Hucknall, Nottinghamshire. You will support month-end processes and management reporting, collaborating with cross-functional teams, including an overseas transactional reporting function in India.

The role offers hybrid working and a salary of £40,000 - £50,000, with opportunities to contribute to audits and process improvements within a supportive finance team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in management accounting or finance business partnering.
• ACA/ACCA/CIMA part-qualified or equivalent experience.
• Strong Excel, GL accounting, financial systems, reporting and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end reporting and production of management information, including divisional reporting for Group purposes.
• Complete and review balance sheet and accounting reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
• Collaborate with wider finance teams and India-based transactional reporting function to ensure complete and accurate information.
• Contribute to finance transformation projects, including process improvements and changes to accounting systems.
• Support the Group audit process and liaise with external auditors to provide information and address queries.
• Produce ad-hoc financial analysis and commercial insight to support business requirements.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen processes and improve financial documentation.
