Job summary

Northern Artillery is seeking a mid-weight Front-end Developer to build user-friendly interfaces across websites and e-commerce platforms. You will collaborate with design and PM teams to ensure polished visuals and seamless functionality.

The role is hybrid with a minimum of two days per week at our Leeds city centre studio. UK-based applicants with the right to work in the UK are preferred.

Qualifications

• At least three years of commercial front-end development experience.
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Commercial experience developing Shopify websites and themes.
• Experience with Vue.js or React.
• Experience with modern front-end build tools and package managers.
• Experience working with design software such as Figma or Sketch.
• Good understanding of responsive design and development principles.
• Experience using Git and version control.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain user-friendly interfaces for websites, ecommerce platforms and web applications.
• Work with design and development teams to ensure seamless integration of design and functionality.
• Translate UI/UX designs into responsive websites across devices and browsers.
• Collaborate with back-end developers to optimize site performance.
• Improve speed, performance and scalability of websites and apps.
• Write clean, modular, well-documented code using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Stay updated on industry best practices in front-end development.
