Job summary

LA International has a great opportunity for a Front End Engineer on a 12 month contract, hybrid in Leeds with up to 2 days on site per week. The role focuses on building and leading frontend work in React/TypeScript within an internal developer portal, with ownership of features and a strong emphasis on live support and code quality.

Qualifications

• Extensive frontend experience with React and TypeScript.
• Proficient in building and deploying frontend apps, with Jest-based testing.
• Experience deploying to Cloud platforms (Azure and Google Cloud).
• Version control with Git/GitHub and CI/CD awareness.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive a feature of the internal developer portal using Jira Align framework.
• Contribute to the platform roadmap and develop integrated frontend solutions.
• Build frontend apps in React/JavaScript or TypeScript and contribute code regularly.
• Lead by example with hands-on coding, tests, reviews, and documentation.
• Collaborate across teams and mentor junior colleagues on frontend topics.
