Job summary

Leonardo seeks Lead and Principal FPGA/Firmware Engineers to join our Luton or Bristol teams. You will deliver firmware for complex digital systems, lead firmware teams, and contribute to processes across UK FPGA/Firmware delivery groups.

Your work includes capturing firmware requirements, FPGA design, and integration with PCB teams. Occasional UK-wide or international reviews may be required.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND or Undergraduate Degree in Electronic Engineering or related field.
• Experience with Xilinx FPGA design tools (Vivado, ISE) and HDL languages (Verilog/SystemVerilog).
• Knowledge of RTCA DO-254 or similar hardware design processes.

Responsibilities

• Firmware requirements capture and management.
• FPGA design and analysis.
• Documentation for design reviews and for engineers.
