Job summary

Domestic & General is seeking a First Line Controls Lead to strengthen risk and control governance across our Product function. The role, a 12 month FTC, is hybrid from our Wimbledon Office and reports to the Head of First Line Controls (Product).

You will identify, assess and manage product risks, develop KRIs, lead control testing, and provide clear reporting for governance forums and senior stakeholders, while collaborating with Product, Risk, Compliance and Internal Audit to meet regulatory

Qualifications

• Experience designing, documenting and testing product risk and control frameworks within a financial services or regulated environment.
• Knowledge of risk event management, RCSAs and assurance activities.
• Strong understanding of risk identification, assessment and mitigation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the identification, assessment and maintenance of Product risks and controls
• Develop and monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs)
• Manage risk events, including root cause analysis and remediation planning
• Conduct control assurance reviews and drive continuous improvement
• Support Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs)
• Produce clear, insightful reporting for governance forums and senior stakeholders
• Partner with Product, Risk, Compliance and Internal Audit teams to strengthen first-line ownership of risk
• Enhance risk and controls frameworks, processes and tools
