Job summary

Sellick Partnership are partnering with a leading public transport organisation in Nottinghamshire to recruit an experienced Financial Controller. The role leads financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and controls, with responsibility for a small team and deputising for the Head of Finance & IT when required.

The ideal candidate is a qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or part-qualified with extensive experience, excellent Excel and systems skills, and a proactive, detail-oriented approach

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or part-qualified with extensive experience.
• Strong technical accounting across reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Experience developing or managing finance staff and teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly close and financial reporting processes.
• Support budgets, forecasts and long-term financial plans.
• Manage cash flow forecasting and group reporting.
• Lead statutory accounts prep and external audit support.
• Maintain control environment and improve processes.
• Ensure compliance with laws and internal policies.
• Provide financial analysis to support decisions and performance.
• Support procurement and IT-related reporting.
