Job summary

MCS Group is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Controller for our South Belfast operation. This hybrid role oversees daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls across multiple sites, ensuring regulatory compliance and data integrity.

You will lead the accounting team, drive group reporting for management and statutory purposes, and partner with senior stakeholders to optimise working capital and financial performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Advanced ERP knowledge (Sage, Business Central) and Excel skills.
• CPA, CMA, or ACCA certification.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

Responsibilities

• Financial reporting and analysis.
• Maintain internal controls and regulatory compliance.
• Lead and mentor the accounting department across AP, treasury, accounting, and AR.
• Manage treasury and cash flow to optimise working capital.
• Coordinate audit and tax activities.
• Lead budgeting, costing, and Capex reporting.
