Job summary

Butler Rose Ltd is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead a small finance team for a well-established charity in Exeter. You will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, controls and compliance, reporting to the Director of Finance.

Hybrid working role starting ASAP with a 1-month notice. The ideal candidate is ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA qualified, with proven finance management experience and strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA or equivalent qualified.
• Proven experience in a finance management position.
• Strong management accounting, budgeting and forecasting skills.
• Previous experience leading and developing staff.
• Strong analytical ability and commercial awareness.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a small finance team.
• Deliver accurate and insightful monthly management accounts.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning.
• Partner with managers and senior leaders to support decision-making.
• Maintain robust financial controls and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage year-end processes and external audit requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and reporting.

Education

ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent qualified
