Job summary

The University of Nottingham is seeking a Finance professional to join the Professional Services Financial Management Team at Jubilee Campus. You will manage day-to-day financial operations, prepare budgets, costings, and forecasts, and provide monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to build relationships with stakeholders across a university.
• Experience preparing budgets, costings and forecasts.
• Experience compiling monthly management accounts.
• Ability to analyse variances against budget/forecast.
• Experience calculating accruals and prepayments.
• Experience reviewing balance sheet reconciliations.
• Willingness to support the wider team.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships and influence stakeholders across an organisation.
• Prepare detailed budgets, project costings and forecasts.
• Compile monthly management accounts.
• Analyse and explain variances to budget / forecast.
• Calculate and process accruals / prepayments and other accounting data entry.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations.
• Provide general support to the wider Professional Services Financial Management team.
