Job summary

AXA Health is seeking a Finance Assistant to support financial processes, ensuring accuracy across premium processing, refunds and essential finance admin. You will reconcile files, post BACS, and maintain clear records while assisting the finance team.

The role is hybrid, with two days in the office and further in December 2026, focusing on data entry, reporting and financial control to support customers across the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience in finance, reconciliation or payment processing preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and high accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proactive approach with interest in process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Reconciling collection files with bank accounts to ensure data accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Manually posting BACS premiums into the financial system with correct allocation and documentation.
• Handling and processing BACS and cheque refunds promptly, maintaining proper records.
• Managing incoming BACS collection files and ensuring timely updates and processing.
• Providing ad hoc finance administration, including data entry, reporting, and filing.
• Monitoring and responding to queries via the team inbox, ensuring swift resolution.
