Job summary

Telos Talent is seeking a Field Applications Specialist based around Cambridge, UK, with hybrid travel across the UK, Europe, and beyond. You will lead demonstrations, understand customer workflows, and support the sales team with technical validation.

You will bring MSc or PhD level expertise, strong bench skills, and excellent communication to train customers and provide feedback to product and engineering teams. Some travel is involved.

Qualifications

• MSc with at least 2 years’ experience as a Field Applications Specialist, or a PhD in a relevant field.
• Hands-on bench experience in antibody development, protein expression, cell line development or process development.
• Excellent pipetting technique and ability to run experiments independently, under time pressure.
• Strong communication skills and confident presentations to scientific audiences.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver end-to-end instrument demonstrations across the UK and Europe; occasional trips to USA/Canada might be required.
• Act as the voice of the customer, sharing feedback with Science, Product and Marketing teams.
• Support Sales with discovery calls to understand workflows and challenges.
• Translate customer requirements into scientifically sound demonstration proposals.
• Assist at conferences and with networking and follow-up activities.
