Job summary

Ackerman Pierce is recruiting for 2 Family Practitioner positions within the 0-25 Watford & 3 Rivers - WFH/Visits with Team Meeting, twice a month onsite. This role supports children, young people and families to achieve stability and independence, with a focus on timely, person-centred practice.

You will join an established local-authority service, working with colleagues, families and partner organisations to deliver safe outcomes, with strong documentation and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in paid or voluntary care settings with children, young people or families.
• Caring, empathetic approach with sound professional judgement and boundaries.
• Strong written and IT skills; able to work in a multi-agency network.
• Ability to manage risk and respond to complex family circumstances.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and agreed interventions with children, young people, young adults and families.
• Contribute to assessments, care planning, reviews and outcome monitoring.
• Identify safeguarding concerns and escalate where required.
• Coordinate with schools, health, housing and community services.
• Promote independence and preparation for adulthood; enable community participation.
