Job summary

EPAM Systems in the United Kingdom is hiring a Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer to design, deploy and run enterprise-grade data and analytics solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Power BI. You will collaborate with Solution Architects, client IT and data teams, creating production-ready solutions across on-site and remote settings.

The role emphasizes end-to-end architecture implementation, data pipelines, and semantic modeling while ensuring data quality, security and performance in regulated

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, BI development or data platform implementation.
• 1+ year of hands-on Microsoft Fabric experience, with at least one production or PoC project.
• 2+ years of Power BI development experience: semantic modeling, advanced DAX, Power Query (M).
• Strong SQL (T-SQL) skills and good working knowledge of Python/PySpark and Spark SQL.
• Experience with Azure data services (Azure Data Factory, ADLS Gen2, Azure SQL, Synapse or Databricks).

Responsibilities

• Implement end-to-end Microsoft Fabric solutions based on approved architecture, including OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory pipelines and notebooks.
• Build medallion architectures (Bronze/Silver/Gold) with incremental loads and error handling.
• Set up ingestion from diverse sources using pipelines and mirroring.
• Write clean, reusable and tested code in PySpark, Spark SQL and T-SQL.
• Add data quality checks, validation rules, logging and alerting to pipelines.
• Build enterprise semantic models using Direct Lake, Import or DirectQuery as specified.
• Write efficient DAX measures and Power Query transformations.
• Build dashboards following design guidelines and best practices.
