Job summary

Siemens in Hindley Green is seeking an Estimating Engineer to support customer projects from enquiry to quotation and delivery. Hybrid working typically 2-3 days in the office. Open to experienced estimators or those moving from electrical engineering into estimating.

The role involves collaborating with engineering, operations and sales, developing technical and commercial bid documentation, and building strong stakeholder relationships to meet business objectives.

Qualifications

• Electrical qualification or equivalent industry experience.
• Understanding of manufacturing/engineering or technical sales.
• Interest in estimating and commercial engineering.

Responsibilities

• Review customer drawings, specifications and project requirements to develop technical solutions.
• Prepare accurate and competitive quotations within agreed timescales.
• Produce technical and commercial bid documentation to support customer submissions.
• Interpret electrical schematics, drawings and technical information.
• Work closely with engineering, operations and sales teams to support project opportunities.
• Support the delivery of customer projects by ensuring quotation requirements are clearly communicated.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including engineering drawings and project information where required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement activities and help enhance the team's customer offering.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and support the delivery of business objectives.
