Job summary

Nottingham City Council is seeking an Engagement Officer to support the Midlands Net Zero Hub through communication and marketing initiatives. The role reports to the Communications and Engagement Manager and requires agile, innovative thinking to deliver campaigns that align with hub objectives.

The post is offered on a hybrid basis with a starting salary of £33,673 and progression to £36,581 per year, pro rata for part-time. Closing date 29 September 2026; interviews from 8 October 2026.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will demonstrate creativity and ability to engage across the Midlands network.
• Experience in communications and marketing planning and campaigns is desirable.
• Knowledge of internal and external communications approaches and related processes.

Responsibilities

• Support development and delivery of communications and marketing plans and campaigns.
• Build relationships across the Midlands Net Zero Hub team and with stakeholders.
• Monitor developments and benchmark ROI to keep the council at the cutting edge of best practice.
