Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is expanding its Civil & Structural Engineering team within the Energy Transmission & Distribution sector. You will work on significant UK electricity infrastructure projects, delivering civil and structural design across feasibility to construction support.

Qualifications

• We require a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong understanding of civil/structural engineering principles.
• Experience or willingness to contribute in Energy, Power, Utilities or Infrastructure.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams with clear communication.
• Commitment to engineering excellence and Safety in Design.
• For senior levels, Chartered Engineer progression is expected.

Responsibilities

• Deliver civil and structural design for major Energy T&D projects.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design activities and interfaces.
• Produce technical reports, calculations, specifications & drawings.
• Support design governance, quality management and design assurance.
• Lead design packages and mentor junior engineers as appropriate.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to ensure delivery of scope.
