The Climate and Environment team at Canterbury City Council is seeking a WHLG Project Officer to help deliver a government programme across the Canterbury District. The role involves eligibility checks, supporting retrofit deliveries and coordinating with the Council's delivery partner to move applications through to completion.

You will work on data collection, reporting and records management, ensuring compliance with WHLG guidance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of climate change and energy policy/delivery, and retrofitting approaches (PAS 2035).
• Experience with project controls, data management and reporting.
• Experience in energy support programme delivery or policy (desirable).
• Experience managing relationships with contractors and stakeholders with a customer focus.

Responsabilités

• Support delivery and project management of the WHLG programme per government guidance and council policies.
• Review applications and assess eligibility.
• Communicate effectively with customers, contractors and partners.
• Support data collection, reporting, and policy outcomes.
• Manage WHLG records, track applications, expenses and transactions.
• Support compliance with WHLG delivery guidance, monitor performance and risks.
• Assist the Policy and Strategy Team with other work areas.
