Job summary

Yapily Ltd. is seeking an experienced Safeguarding & Treasury Manager to own EMI safeguarding compliance and optimise treasury across the Group.

You will protect customer funds, satisfy regulators, and enhance partnerships with financial partners to unlock yield on operating funds. Expertise in EMI safeguarding (UK) and CASS/EMR/PSR is essential, with a track record of building automated processes and AI-enhanced controls in a fintech environment.

Qualifications

• Significant EMI safeguarding experience with hands-on ownership of reconciliations and incident reporting/management.
• Strong preference for UK EMI experience and familiarity with CASS requirements.
• Deep knowledge of operational requirements for safeguarding funds; able to apply rules without external counsel for day-to-day matters.
• Proven ability to build, own and maintain reconciliation reports independently; design break resolution workflows.
• Experience with wind-down planning, audits, and working with custodian banks.
• Experience in treasury management within fintech/payments; regulated capital and liquidity management; yield optimisation.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily safeguarding reconciliations; ensure funds match safeguarding records and resolve breaks within timeframes.
• Prepare regulatory safeguarding reports to FCA.
• Prepare internal reports to VP of Finance, Safeguarding Committee and Board; improve governance and processes.
• Manage day-to-day relationship with custodian banks; monitor credit limits and escalate issues.
• Own and test Safeguarding Wind-Down Plan; keep it operational.
• Coordinate annual safeguarding external audit; respond to auditors and remediate findings.
• Manage liquidity and capital positions; identify yield-generating strategies for operating funds.
• Diversify placement of customer funds across custodian arrangements and define treasury policy.
• Monitor counterparty credit quality; build treasury dashboard for liquidity, yield, FX risk.
• Report to VP of Finance; cross-functionally partner with EMI support, risk, IT, and wider Finance.
