Peregrine is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join the R&D team in Dorset. You will work across the full firmware lifecycle, from requirements capture and development through to hardware integration, validation, regression testing and release.

You will use C/C++ on STM32 or similar MCUs and contribute to complex hardware‑software integration challenges. This role offers a flexible hybrid working pattern with two days on site at our Dorset office.

Qualifications

• Strong C/C++ in embedded environments.
• Experience with STM32 or similar microcontrollers.
• Experience with RTOS environments.
• Understanding of hardware interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN).
• Experience with hardware integration and debugging.
• Ability to break down requirements into clear features.

Responsabilités

• Define firmware requirements and plan implementation.
• Design, develop, test and review embedded firmware across platforms.
• Support firmware update mechanisms, bootloaders and deployment strategies.
• Integrate and test firmware with hardware and system components; support debugging.
• Participate in stand-ups and planning sessions.
• Perform regression testing and contribute to CI improvements.
