Job summary

Siemens Congleton is seeking a Junior Product Development Engineer (Electronics) to join its R&D team. You will contribute to the design, development and testing of SINAMICS drive products, spanning from concept through launch, in a hybrid Congleton office/home setup with occasional on-site requirements.

You will work with multidisciplinary engineers and gain hands-on experience across power electronics and industrial automation, using state-of-the-art labs and testing environments to accelerate

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical & Electronic or related field.
• Understanding of the product development lifecycle from concept to launch.
• Knowledge of analogue and digital circuit design and PCB capture.
• Experience with simulation, prototyping and testing tools.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design and development of industrial electronics products.
• Support full product lifecycle from concept to launch and enhancements.
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, test and manufacturing engineers.
• Design electronic circuits and support PCB schematic capture and layout.
• Participate in simulation, integration, validation and testing activities.
• Build, evaluate and troubleshoot prototypes.
• Support product approvals and UL certification processes.
• Assist with introducing new products into manufacturing.
• Support existing products through improvements and cost reductions.
• Research emerging technologies to enhance future products.
• Work with suppliers and global teams on product improvements.
