North Yorkshire Council is seeking an Environment and Design Manager (Ecology) to lead ecology within the Planning Service, managing a specialist team and shaping how environmental considerations are integrated into future growth and development across the county.

This senior role offers substantial autonomy and variety, helping to shape the North Yorkshire Local Plan, influence strategic policy, and work with colleagues in Landscape, Urban Design and the Historic Environment.

Responsabilidades

• Lead ecology integration across Planning Policy and Place, ensuring ecological considerations are embedded in strategic planning, policy and development management.
• Provide training and specialist ecology advice to development teams and ensure compliance with environmental legislation.
• Collaborate with Landscape, Urban Design and Historic Environment teams to deliver high-quality, sustainable development across North Yorkshire.
