Job summary

Medacs Healthcare is recruiting for a PIP Functional Assessor / Disability Assessor in a hybrid role based in Durham. The position suits nurses, paramedics, physiotherapists or occupational therapists seeking a non-hands-on clinical path.

You will conduct PIP assessments, analyse evidence, and produce detailed reports within established clinical frameworks, with hybrid working and structured hours offering work‑life balance and progression.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational Therapist
• Active NMC or HCPC registration with no restrictions
• Minimum 1 year UK clinical experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Confident use of digital systems (35 WPM typing speed)
• Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available)

Responsibilities

• Conduct face-to-face and telephone PIP assessments in a professional and empathetic manner
• Analyse medical evidence and clinical information
• Produce accurate, detailed and evidence-based written reports
• Work to defined quality standards and clinical frameworks
• Engage positively with feedback and development opportunities
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative colleagues
• Attend the assessment centre as required
