Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is seeking a Digital Programme Manager to join our growing team. The role can be based from Dartford, Leatherhead or South Mimms, offering hybrid opportunities across the M25 area.

You will lead multi-project programmes, develop business cases, establish governance and reporting frameworks, and drive benefits realisation with close collaboration with the CPS commercial team and finance partners.

Qualifications

• Experience managing programmes comprising multiple projects.
• Ability to identify, capture and track programme benefits.
• Strong experience in status reporting on programme delivery.
• Proven ability to engage and manage programme-level stakeholders.
• Experience working across programme and project lifecycles, including the development of key programme documentation.

Responsibilities

• Development of a Programme Mobilisation Pack, including programme charter, roadmap, governance model, and initial controls framework.
• Production of an Asset Management Systems strategy, including options analysis and recommended target state.
• Definition of a delivery approach and integration considerations across systems and stakeholders.
• Development of an Outline Business Case, including costs, benefits, risks, and a benefits realisation approach.
• Preparation of executive briefing materials to support decision-making.
• Design of programme reporting and control frameworks (including financial and progress reporting templates).
• Facilitation of stakeholder engagement activities, including workshops and structured engagement to support alignment on programme direction leveraging inputs from individual projects.
• Adherence to the technology project delivery methodology, including development of key project artefacts.
• Management of all commercial processes in conjunction with the CPS commercial team.
• Regular updates on progress made and status reporting to the Head of Business Transformation and the Digital and Data Delivery Lead.
• Capture, measurement and tracking of key project benefits in conjunction with the Finance team.
• Reporting at key governance forums on progress made, such as the CPS Change Board.
• Identification, reporting and tracking of project risks, issues and dependencies.
