Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc, via Connect Plus Services (CPS), seeks a Project Manager to lead highway and technology schemes on the M25 network from feasibility to handover. You will manage multidiscipline teams, coordinate contractors and designers, and drive performance across safety, cost and schedule.

Travel to sites across the network and occasional night shifts are expected. The role offers hybrid working, exposure to high-profile infrastructure, and opportunities to influence large-scale

Qualifications

• Experience leading multi-disciplinary project teams on highway/construction schemes.
• Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement across internal/external groups.
• Commercial focus with ability to manage contracts and drive project performance.
• Resilience to handle conflicting priorities and delivery pressures.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills to articulate strategies and solutions.
• Experience maintaining and developing detailed project plans with contractors/ designers.
• Mentoring/coaching to develop junior project management talent.

Responsibilities

• Deliver project objectives across Health & Safety, Quality, Cost, Environment, Delivery and People.
• Lead lifecycle programs from feasibility through handover, including cost profiling and risk mitigation.
• Manage NEC contracts and coordinate sub-contractors and designers.
• Ensure permits, certificates and site reporting align with project needs and client expectations.
• Travel to other offices/depots as required; night-site visits may be needed.
• Support sustainability activities including net zero and biodiversity initiatives.
