Job summary

The National Oceanography Centre in Southampton is recruiting a DevOps Engineer to join the SEAI group, delivering digital infrastructure for staff and projects. This Band 6, permanent, full-time role involves collaboration with software developers and sysadmins in an agile environment.

You will contribute to innovative systems and be part of a team supporting environment-focused research at the UK’s leading oceanography institution.

Qualifications

• Experience in system configuration and hands-on administration.
• Ability to learn, support and maintain services for diverse user community.
• Good problem solving and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and deliver innovative digital infrastructure (hardware and software).
• Work with a team of software developers and system administrators in an agile SCRUM environment.
• Contribute to ongoing innovation and improvement of systems within NOC.
